Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Ahsan Iqbal, announced that Gwadar is on track to become a world-class port city with many opportunities for growth and development.

He praised the progress made through CPEC, emphasizing Gwadar’s strategic importance. According to him, CPEC is playing a crucial role in transforming Gwadar into a key port city that will drive economic development.

China has made significant contributions to various parts of Pakistan, including Gwadar. Their efforts include building advanced port facilities and promoting socioeconomic growth. One of the notable projects is a state-of-the-art hospital in Gwadar, which offers medical services comparable to those found in major cities like Karachi and Lahore.

Minister Iqbal highlighted that the development of Gwadar under CPEC is a prime example of how international cooperation can lead to substantial local benefits. The new facilities and infrastructure are expected to create numerous job opportunities, boost the local economy, and improve the overall quality of life for the residents of Gwadar.

In his statement, he expressed optimism about Gwadar’s future, noting that with continuous support and development, it will become a major hub for trade and industry, attracting investments from around the world. This transformation is expected to have a positive impact on the entire region, making Gwadar a symbol of progress and development.
