Paralympic bronze medallist Haider Ali was celebrated in a special ceremony at the Pakistan Embassy in Paris on Sunday. The event was held to honor his impressive performance in the Men’s Discus Throw F37 event, where he recently secured a bronze medal. Haider made a remarkable throw of 52.54 meters on his final attempt at the Stade de France, earning widespread praise.

The ceremony was attended by members of the Pakistani community in France, along with prominent athletes, including Olympic gold medallist Arshad Nadeem.

Arshad congratulated Haider, saying, “Many congratulations to Haider Ali for his success.” The support from fellow athletes highlighted the significance of Haider’s achievement.

In his speech, the 39-year-old athlete thanked his family for their unwavering support throughout his career. “All the credit for my success goes to my family,” he said, reflecting on his journey to this victory. Fans and attendees eagerly took photos with Haider, who is now a four-time Paralympic medallist.

Haider’s achievement is part of a long and successful career. He previously won a gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, adding to his silver medal from the 2008 Beijing Games and bronze from the 2016 Rio Games. His latest bronze in Paris adds another chapter to his remarkable career.

In addition to his recent success, Haider secured direct qualification for the 2024 Paris Games following his outstanding performance at the 2022 Asian Para Games in Hangzhou. There, he threw 51.23 meters in the F37 category, ensuring he would compete again at the highest level.

With his continued excellence, Haider Ali remains one of Pakistan’s most accomplished athletes, inspiring future generations with his dedication and resilience. His success is not just a personal victory but a proud moment for the entire nation.
