Heavy Rains and Thunderstorms Expected Across Pakistan Starting Today

Starting today, many parts of Pakistan are likely to experience heavy rain and thunderstorms, as warned by the Meteorological Department. According to the latest forecast, this strong weather system will bring heavy showers, loud thunder, and a high chance of urban flooding, especially in areas where drainage is poor.

Regions expected to face the strongest impact include northern and central Pakistan. This means people living in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad should be ready for sudden weather changes. The authorities have advised everyone in these areas to be extra careful and to stay alert, especially those living in low-lying or flood-prone neighborhoods where water can gather quickly.

People are encouraged to stay indoors during heavy rain, avoid unnecessary travel, and secure loose items outside their homes. Families living near rivers, streams, and drainage channels have been asked to keep an eye on rising water levels and follow any evacuation instructions if needed.

Rescue teams and local administrations have been put on alert to deal with any emergencies. The Meteorological Department has also said that there may be disruptions to daily life, including traffic jams, blocked roads, and possible damage to weaker structures.

Farmers and outdoor workers have been told to plan their work carefully to avoid getting caught in bad weather. Citizens can stay updated by following local news and official weather alerts.

People are reminded that safety comes first during heavy rain. Taking early precautions can help protect lives and property until the weather improves.
