Hyundai Pakistan has officially launched two hybrid variants of Palisade with the ex-factory prices starting from Rs21 million in the country.

The company introduced Palisade Smart (lower-trim) 8-seater for Rs20,999,000 (Rs2.1 crore) and Palisade Calligraphy (top-trim) 7-seater for Rs22,999,000 (Rs2.3 crore).

The Palisade Smart’s booking is starting from Rs3 million and Palisade Calligraphy can be booked from Rs3.3 million.

The company has started the booking and deliveries will be made in August this year, according to a dealer.

“The Palisade redefines premium SUV elegance with bold proportions and refined design. Highlighting vertical and horizontal lines across the front, side, and rear, its widened body and increased wheelbase enhance stability and presence. Experience the perfect of strength and grace,” the company says on its website.

“The Palisade Hybrid pairs a 2.5L turbocharged engine with a hybrid motor to deliver confident power and impressive efficiency. With HTRAC All Wheel Drive for enhanced grip and control, it’s a capable, upscale SUV that stands out wherever it goes.”

Talking to media, auto expert Usman Ansari said Hyunda Pakistan had launched two premium SUVs with “an extraordinary comfort” on roads.

‘SUVs are prevailing all over the world as they may have more persons and cargo in comparison with sedan cars. People are switching over to SUVs if they can afford them,” he said. “When it comes to resale of such vehicles, buyers of these vehicles generally do not resell them.”

According to Ansari, easily-available parts of vehicles make resale of any vehicles and parts of such vehicles are costly and not usually available in a market.

Hyundai dealer of Karachi’s Korangi Sami Mohammad Saleem said, “This is a cross-over and urban SUV and a good option for customers and SUV enthusiasts”.

“Both variants will be delivered in August and now the booking has started.”

Performance

According to Hyundai website, “Palisade have advanced power and enhanced stability as designed for a smoother ride, with power and efficiency perfectly balanced. Electronically controlled dampers adjust the suspension for a smoother and more stable ride on any road. Grip sensing directly detects the driver’s hold for greater control and precision. It improves driving experience with an expanded head-up display and adaptive lighting for enhanced driver visibility”.

Design

The company says Palisade holds “a strong stance in the premium SUV class. Its dynamic proportions, sculpted details, and distinctive lighting create an unmistakable visual identity”. It redefines premium SUV elegance with bold proportions and refined design.
