Former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly has expressed support for India touring Pakistan, praising the warmth and hospitality shown by the people there.

In a recent viral interview, Ganguly shared memorable experiences from India’s tour of Pakistan, emphasizing the affection and generosity of Pakistani fans. He highlighted incidents where players like Virender Sehwag and Harbhajan Singh were showered with love and didn’t have to pay for their shopping.

Ganguly also reminisced about the support for former Indian fast bowler Lakshmipathy Balaji, recalling the cheers and admiration he received from the crowd. These memories, according to Ganguly, demonstrate the strong bond cricket can create between the two nations.

Adding to the praise for Pakistan, another former Indian captain, MS Dhoni, has expressed his love for Pakistani cuisine. In a viral video, Dhoni can be seen sharing his appreciation for the rich and delicious flavors of Pakistani food with his teammates during a hotel stay.

Both Ganguly’s and Dhoni’s statements shed light on the cultural and emotional connections fostered through cricket and shared traditions. Their anecdotes underline the potential for sports to bridge divides and strengthen ties between India and Pakistan.

Ganguly’s call for India to visit Pakistan is seen as a positive gesture that could help revive cricketing relations between the two countries while celebrating the enduring goodwill among their fans.
