India has blocked 16 Pakistani YouTube channels following a recent attack in occupied Kashmir. Major Pakistani news outlets like Dawn News, Geo News, and Samaa TV are among those affected. Several independent content creators from Pakistan have also faced restrictions.

According to the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs, these channels were spreading negative narratives and promoting communal issues. Officials said that blocking these platforms was necessary to maintain peace and security.

Famous personalities were not spared either. Former cricketer Shoaib Akhtar’s YouTube channel, along with the podcast “The Pakistan Experience,” was also blocked. Indian authorities believe that the content from these channels could disturb public order, especially after the recent unrest in Kashmir.

There has been no official response from Pakistani authorities regarding the ban. However, the move has sparked discussions across social media, with many users criticizing the action while others called for calm and dialogue between the two nations.

This is not the first time India has taken such measures. In the past, it has blocked several Pakistani websites, mobile apps, and online platforms citing concerns over national security and communal harmony.

The latest action reflects the continuing tensions between India and Pakistan, especially in the digital space. It also raises important questions about information control, media freedom, and the growing challenges around cross-border content sharing.
