Pakistan has officially extended its airspace ban on all Indian-registered aircraft until April 24, 2026, according to a notice issued by the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA). This restriction applies to every category of Indian aircraft, including commercial airlines, leased planes, and military flights, affecting the airspace over both the Karachi (OPKR) and Lahore (OPLR) flight information regions.

The continuation of this airspace closure has significant implications for regional aviation, disrupting established flight routes and preventing Indian carriers from operating within Pakistan’s skies. Airlines and passengers alike are expected to face rerouted flights, longer travel times, and increased operational challenges due to these restrictions.

Authorities have emphasized that this measure is part of ongoing regulatory and security considerations. Travelers and industry stakeholders are advised to monitor official updates for any changes to the status of the ban.
