PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has expressed optimism that India will participate in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, which will be hosted by Pakistan. The tournament is set to begin on February 19, 2025, with the final scheduled for March 9. It will involve eight teams playing in major cities, including Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi.

Naqvi mentioned that India’s last tour to Pakistan was back in 2008, and since then, political tensions have impacted any further series between the two countries.

Despite the history, he believes India will be part of this tournament. He confidently stated, “I am fully confident in the Indian team’s participation. There’s no indication they will cancel or postpone, and we anticipate all teams will join.”

Hosting the 2025 Champions Trophy will be a significant moment for Pakistan cricket, bringing back major international events to the country.

The tournament promises exciting matchups, especially with the hope of India’s participation, which could add immense value to the event. Naqvi’s statements reflect a positive outlook for the tournament, and Pakistan is preparing to deliver a memorable event for cricket fans around the world.
