India will sell 130 billion rupees ($1.44 billion) worth of its new 50-year bond in an auction this week, the country’s central bank said on Monday.

India first announced a 50-year bond in 2023, in response to market demand for longer duration securities, before which it had issued bonds with a tenure of up to 40 years.
