Ahead of the much-anticipated India-Pakistan clash in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, Indian fans were seen having a friendly chat with Pakistan’s star bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi. This encounter took place at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York, where the two arch-rivals are set to face off on Sunday, June 9.

The ninth edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, hosted in the USA and West Indies, has already delivered thrilling matches. Notably, associate nations like the USA and Canada have secured surprising victories against full-member teams Pakistan and Ireland, respectively. Meanwhile, Afghanistan and Bangladesh have also made headlines by defeating New Zealand and Sri Lanka.

In a viral video circulating on social media, an Indian family is seen taking pictures with Shaheen Shah Afridi. The fans and Afridi shared a light-hearted moment during their interaction. One fan humorously asked Afridi to not perform well against India, while another suggested he consider Indian players Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma as his “good friends.” This playful request brought a smile to Afridi’s face.

This light-hearted exchange has added to the excitement and anticipation surrounding the India-Pakistan match, as fans eagerly await to see how the game unfolds.
