Indian PM Modi’Uses’ Pakistan’s Airspace During Flight to Paris

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s aircraft, India 1, flew through Pakistan’s airspace while traveling from New Delhi to Paris. The plane entered Pakistan near Sheikhupura and passed through Hafizabad, Chakwal, and Kohat, staying in the country’s airspace for about 46 minutes.

According to civil aviation officials, the flight took this route because Afghan airspace was closed. They confirmed that it was a necessary diversion due to the restricted air corridors in the region.

This is not the first time Modi’s aircraft has used Pakistan’s airspace. A similar incident occurred in August 2024 when his plane flew from Poland to New Delhi and passed through Pakistani territory for a similar amount of time.

On this recent journey, Modi’s aircraft entered Pakistan at around 11:00 PM and remained within its airspace before continuing toward France. The use of Pakistani airspace by Indian VIP flights has been a topic of interest in the past, especially during times of political tension between the two countries.

Pakistan, like other nations, allows such flights under international aviation agreements unless specific restrictions are in place. While relations between India and Pakistan remain sensitive, aviation protocols ensure the safe passage of flights when required.

This event once again highlights how air travel and diplomatic decisions are often intertwined, as countries must follow global aviation rules despite political differences.
