Made on a budget of nearly ₹100 crore, KGF Chapter 2 earned ₹164 crore on its opening day alone

Several Indian films have seen international success, but KGF Chapter 2 has set a record that even big-budget films like Baahubali 2, RRR, Pathaan, Jawan, and Salaar have yet to match, reported Express News.

Made on a budget of nearly ₹100 crore, KGF Chapter 2 earned ₹164 crore on its opening day alone, recouping its entire production cost. This stellar start not only earned the film immense fame in India but also garnered global recognition for the lead actor Yash.

KGF Chapter 2 holds the title of the most expensive Kannada film ever made and has broken several records at the box office where it grossed over ₹1,000 crore worldwide, making it the fourth highest-grossing Indian film and leave the fans eagerly awaiting the third installment of the KGF franchise.

Director Prashanth Neel and Yash are preparing to deliver another grand cinematic experience where currently, Neel is working on Prabhas’s Salaar: Part 2 and NTR 31, while Yash is busy with his upcoming romantic films Toxic and Ramayan, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Sunny Deol.
