Pakistan’s Information Minister, Attaullah Tarar, has openly said sorry to mixed martial arts champion Shahzaib Rindh for the delay in giving him the financial reward and training support the government had promised.

Shahzaib Rindh made the country proud by winning the Karate Combat Championship (KC-49) in Singapore, but he recently spoke out on social media about the government’s failure to keep its word on the reward and training help. His post gained a lot of attention, leading to a quick reaction from the government.

In his statement, Minister Tarar admitted that the delay was “unjustified” and blamed it on miscommunication. He promised that the issue would be fixed as soon as possible. He also shared that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had noticed Rindh’s complaint and instructed officials to make sure that no athlete faces such problems in the future.

The minister’s apology and assurance of quick action brought relief to Shahzaib Rindh. The champion said he was glad the issue was addressed and hoped the government would stand by its commitments this time. He also promised to continue working hard and to inspire more young athletes in Pakistan to reach for global success.

Rindh’s historic win and his courage to speak up have once again highlighted the need for better support for Pakistani athletes. Many people believe that with timely rewards and proper training, champions like Shahzaib can shine brighter and make the country proud on international platforms.
