Internet Alert! Submarine Cable Fault Near Qatar Disrupts Internet in Pakistan
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterWhatsapp

PTA has reported a major internet slowdown across the country due to a fault in the AAE-1 submarine cable near Qatar. This cable is a crucial link between Pakistan and global internet networks, and its malfunction is causing widespread disruption.

PTA has assured that technical teams are working to fix the issue, but until the repair is completed, internet users in Pakistan will face slow speeds and connectivity problems. Broadband services are also heavily affected, making online activities challenging for many.

The slowdown has particularly impacted popular social media platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Users are experiencing delayed responses, slow loading times, and in some cases, complete outages, leading to frustration for millions who rely on these platforms for communication and entertainment.

This incident highlights the dependence on undersea cables for internet connectivity and the challenges that arise when these cables encounter technical issues. PTA has urged users to remain patient while efforts are made to restore services to normal.

Such disruptions serve as a reminder of the importance of maintaining and upgrading internet infrastructure to ensure consistent and reliable connectivity in the future.
