PTI protest scheduled for November 24, the federal government has decided to suspend internet services in several key cities, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Multan. The Ministry of Interior confirmed the suspension will begin at midnight tonight, aimed at controlling the situation during the political unrest.

While mobile phone services will remain active, internet access, including Wi-Fi, will be temporarily disabled. The decision regarding the suspension of mobile signals will be based on the situation as it unfolds.

This measure comes after the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) activated a firewall on mobile internet services earlier this week, causing disruptions and slower connections, especially on social media platforms.

In addition to these precautionary actions, the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) has issued a security alert about possible terrorist threats linked to the PTI protest.

The authority has warned that militants from the Fitna-al-Khwarij group could attempt to disrupt the peaceful demonstration, potentially targeting major cities.

Despite these concerns, PTI leaders have confirmed that the protest will go ahead as planned, with large convoys from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa expected to reach Islamabad by the morning. The party has also clarified that Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI leader Imran Khan, will not be participating in any rallies or protests.

The situation is still developing, and authorities are closely monitoring the protests, with additional security measures expected in the coming hours.
