Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that the Islamabad Information Technology (IT) Park will play a crucial role in achieving the ambitious goal of $25 billion in IT exports. During a review meeting focused on IT sector projects and strategies to enhance IT exports and promote digitization, the Prime Minister was briefed on the collaborative efforts of various organizations working together to reach this export target.

The meeting also featured a detailed presentation on the investments being made in different IT sector projects. It was highlighted that these investments are expected to lead to a significant, phased increase in IT exports, further contributing to the country’s economic growth. The development of the Islamabad IT Park is seen as a key step toward boosting Pakistan’s presence in the global tech market and positioning the country as a leader in the IT industry.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the importance of such initiatives in fostering innovation, creating job opportunities, and driving economic progress. As the Islamabad IT Park project moves forward, it is anticipated that it will attract substantial foreign investment, enhance local technological capabilities, and help Pakistan secure a stronger foothold in the international IT landscape.
