Safe City Islamabad is about to get a major upgrade with over 3,000 new security cameras to make the city safer for everyone. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi shared this plan during his visit to the Safe City Headquarters, where he also launched the Online Women Police Station and the One Info App.

While reviewing the big digital monitoring wall, the minister said that real-time surveillance is very important to stop crimes and catch criminals quickly. He explained that these extra cameras will cover more areas, making it easier for the police to respond to any problem right away.

Minister Naqvi also said that the Online Women Police Station and One Info App are big steps to help women and vulnerable people feel safer and get help faster. With the new app, anyone can send emergency complaints directly to the police from their phones. This will save time and make the response faster.

The Safe City project has already played a strong role in stopping crimes in Islamabad, and now similar systems will soon be launched in Dasu and Chilas as well.

The minister ordered that all Safe City systems should be improved with the latest technology and artificial intelligence, and that these systems should be linked together so that police can share data more easily.

He also directed strong action against illegal money transfers, begging gangs, and fake medicines to clean up the city and protect citizens. The Safe City project shows the government’s promise to build safer, smarter cities for everyone.
