Mohsin Naqvi has fast-tracked the work on Islamabad’s new cricket stadium in D-12, with a clear goal to complete the entire project within one year. This move brings new energy to a plan that had been delayed for a long time.

The new stadium will be built to international standards, taking inspiration from some of Dubai’s most famous cricket venues. It is designed to improve the experience for both players and spectators. The location and layout will help reduce traffic problems during major matches, while the surrounding area will offer better transport access and organized parking for visitors.

Security will also be a major focus, with modern systems planned to ensure a safe and controlled environment during events. This will make the stadium suitable for large crowds and high-profile international teams.

A luxury hotel will be developed nearby to host visiting teams. This will allow players to stay close to the venue, enjoy a comfortable environment, and follow world-class training routines without long travel times. It will also make Islamabad a more attractive destination for international cricket tours and tournaments.

The project marks an important step in improving Pakistan’s cricket infrastructure. Once completed, it will strengthen Islamabad’s role as a host city for major international matches, training camps, and sporting events. Under Mohsin Naqvi’s leadership, the long-awaited stadium is finally becoming a reality, promising a modern sports hub for the capital and a new chapter for cricket fans across the country.
