Examinations at several major universities in Islamabad have been postponed because Shaheen Chowk has been closed due to ongoing underpass construction. This closure has caused serious traffic problems in the surrounding areas, making it difficult for students to reach their campuses on time. As a result, many students are feeling frustrated, stressed, and uncertain about their exam schedules.

Bahria University and Air University informed their students through official SMS messages that all examinations scheduled for December 27 and 28 have been postponed. The universities explained that the decision was taken because road access near the campuses has been heavily restricted and traffic congestion has become severe. University administrations stated that conducting exams under such conditions would be unfair to students. Revised dates for the postponed exams will be announced later.

Students have shared concerns about the sudden change, saying it has disrupted their preparation plans and created confusion, especially for those who were traveling from distant areas. Many have requested clear communication and early announcements of the new exam dates so they can adjust their schedules accordingly.

Meanwhile, officials have stated that the construction work on the Shaheen Chowk underpass is in its final stages. Most of the structural work has already been completed, and only finishing tasks remain. Authorities have directed the Capital Development Authority to speed up the remaining work and ensure the project is completed on time to reduce traffic congestion and restore normal movement in the area.
