LAHORE — Prominent TV anchor and podcast host Ismaeel Qasim has announced his new role with The Current, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter in his media career.

Qasim, who specializes in PR and digital strategy, shared the update on LinkedIn, reflecting on his impactful journey with G News Network (GNN) where he contributed to shaping meaningful conversations. He expressed gratitude for the experiences and colleagues who helped him grow during his time there.

With a media career that began in 2017, Qasim has worked across major organizations, including Express TV, Capital TV, Star Asia, Ilaan.com, and FM 100, before holding key roles at GNN. His journey reflects a steady rise from intern to media entrepreneur, international correspondent, primetime feature, TEDx voice, and storyteller.

He is also the Founder of Narr, a media initiative focused on storytelling and communication.

Academically, Qasim holds an MPhil in Communication and Media Studies as well as a Master’s degree in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs from the University of the Punjab.

“Excited to share that I have joined The Current. It was a truly rewarding journey at GNN, where I had the privilege of working with an incredible team to create meaningful discussions that reached millions,” Qasim wrote.
