JazzCash, in partnership with Mobilink Bank, has completed the disbursement of the first tranche of financial relief under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s Fuel Package 2026, enabling transparent assistance to be delivered directly to eligible citizens’ wallets across Pakistan.
As a lead partner in the Prime Minister’s Cashless Economy Initiative, JazzCash brings unmatched scale and infrastructure. Under the PM’s Fuel Package 2026, JazzCash has enabled one of the largest digital disbursements of its kind, reaching verified beneficiaries including operators of buses, trucks, long-haul vehicles, and delivery vans through real-time, seamless transfers directly into JazzCash wallets. The next phase will expand coverage further to include motorcycle owners.
Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, said, “Digital finance is not a privilege for the few, It is essential infrastructure for all. JazzCash is playing a pivotal role in Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s Fuel Package 2026, combined with leadership shown in the Prime Minister’s Cashless Economy Initiative, reflects how technology and public purpose can work together to deliver real relief to Pakistani citizens.”
“We are honoured that the government has placed their trust in JazzCash for this initiative,” said Murtaza Ali, CEO of JazzCash. “When people are under financial pressure, the speed of relief matters as much as the relief itself. Backed by Pakistan’s largest retail partner network of over one million Raast QR merchants and agents, and extensive experience working alongside the Government of Pakistan across multiple national and provincial programmes, we understand what it takes to get funds to the right person, quickly and securely.”
JazzCash has activated its dedicated social welfare helpline — 0800-00444 — to assist confirmed beneficiaries who are assigned to JazzCash for account opening and wallet activation. As a payment disbursement partner, JazzCash can only facilitate queries from beneficiaries who have received official confirmation of eligibility from the government. For information on the overall programme, including eligibility criteria and registration, citizens are advised to refer to official government channels.
