The Directorate of Colleges Education in Karachi has announced that colleges in the city are no longer allowed to collect fees in cash.

In an official notification, Regional Director Faqir Muhammad Lakho instructed all college principals to make sure that no payments are accepted in cash at student service counters. Instead, students and parents must deposit fees directly into the designated bank accounts of their respective colleges.

The directive also makes it clear that college principals will be responsible for ensuring that daily fee collection operations follow this rule. This decision has been taken to make the payment process more organized, secure, and transparent while also reducing the risks associated with handling cash in educational institutions.
