KP government has announced a budget of Rs. 364 billion for education reforms for the financial year 2025–26. The plan aims to improve school infrastructure, add new technology, and make education easier to access for students across the province.

One of the key steps includes handing over 1,500 government schools to private organizations under a public-private partnership model. The government also plans to build 200 new schools and set up smart classrooms with a separate budget of Rs. 1.2 billion.

In the newly merged districts, 500 additional classrooms will be built to handle the growing number of students. To help primary school children, the government will provide free textbooks, school bags, and stationery.

The education plan also focuses on saving the region’s educational heritage by restoring 10 historic schools. Alongside this, 29 new projects will be launched to improve the overall education system.

KP Education Minister Faisal Tarakai said that these steps show the government’s strong commitment to providing better education for every child in the province. He added that improving the quality of education and making sure every student has equal opportunities remain top priorities.

These reforms are expected to bring positive changes by creating better learning environments, using modern teaching tools, and giving students from remote areas more access to quality education.

With this new plan, the KP government hopes to set an example for other provinces by focusing on smart investments in the future of its young generation.
