KP Govt’s Missing Helicopter Crashes, Three Martyred

A rescue helicopter of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a Mi-17, tragically crashed near Sokai, close to Chengai Banda, resulting in the deaths of three people. According to Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah, the helicopter was on its way to Bajaur to carry out relief operations when it lost contact, likely due to bad weather conditions. Rescue teams have already reached the crash site, while another government helicopter continues to assist with relief efforts in the Buner district.

At the same time, the Jabrarai area of Salarzai Tehsil in Bajaur is experiencing severe flash floods that have caused significant destruction. Roads, bridges, and homes have been badly damaged or washed away. Rescue officials have reported 21 people dead, seven others missing, and three injured who are currently receiving treatment at hospitals.
