The Workers Welfare Board of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has shared its annual performance report, bringing good news for workers in the region. According to the report, 17 workers from different industries will be sponsored to perform Hajj in 2025. The government will pay for all their expenses, which amount to Rs. 18.79 million.

The report also talked about several financial programs launched to support workers and their families. One major highlight is the allocation of Rs. 627.5 million for higher education. This funding will help 1,578 children of workers pursue their studies and build a better future.

In addition to education support, the board has set aside Rs. 131 million for marriage grants. A total of 341 workers have received these grants to help cover wedding expenses for themselves or their children.

The report also mentioned financial help for families who lost their loved ones. Around Rs. 30 million were given out as death grants in 44 different cases, offering some relief during difficult times.

These initiatives show the government’s commitment to improving the lives of workers and their families. By providing support in important areas like education, marriage, and after the death of a family member, the Workers Welfare Board is helping to ease the financial burden on hardworking people.
