The 5th National Mass Wrestling Championship will take place at DHA Bahawalpur from 31 March to April 2 according to Nawab Furqan khan President Pakistan Mass Wrestling Federation.
The trials of the Lahore Division Mass Wrestling Men and Women team were held today at National Weightlifting and Mass Wrestling Club Punjab Stadium Lahore. Shehzadi Gulfam international Golfer Assistant Director Traffic Punjab police were Guest of Honour.
Athletes from Lahore, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib and Kasur 45players appeared in these trials. These trials were conducted by President Lahore Division Mass Wrestling Aqeel Javed Butt, International Power Lifter. The referees were Mohammad Ghani Bilal and Natasha khan.
Sohail Javed Butt informed that teams from Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Takmeel Square, Lahore, Sahiwal, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Islamabad, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Karachi, Quetta, Gilgit-Baltistan, Peshawar, Swat, Army, Police, Wapda and Bahawalpur will participate in the 5th National Mass Wrestling Championship at Bahawalpur.
Women team selected Kainat 50 kg, Iman Maqbool,55kg, Arooj Kiran 65 kg, Nida Fatimah 75 kg, Amna Khan Plus 75 kg category. Men’s team Adnan 60 kg, Mohammad Ali 65 kg, Mohammed Waseem Akram 70 kg, Mohammed Awais 75 kg, Daniyal 80 kg, Mohammed Usman 85 kgs, Mohammed Zobair 90kgs, Ahmed Ali Shoaib 105kg, Aden Pervez 105 kg plus category. Imran Ali Khan coach, Mohammed Ghani Bilal will be Manager. Lahore division team contingent will depart for Bahawalpur on 31 March under the supervision of Aqeel Javed Butt.
