Light to moderate precipitation and gusty winds developed in the eastern parts as a consequence of the country being impacted by the prevailing meteorological conditions, which are anticipated to persist until next Thursday, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) reported.
“This is due to the influence of the tropical convergence zone (ITCZ), which is extending towards the country and moving southwards, accompanied by the development of surface depressions in the southern and eastern regions, and the subsequent movement of clouds towards the country,” NCM added.
“Light to moderate precipitation fell in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, and other locations,” NCM said, noting that the lowest temperature recorded in the country on Monday was 19.7°C in Jebel Jais, Ras Al Khaimah, at 06:45 am.
