During a meeting with Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim praised the professionalism and sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces in promoting peace in the region and fighting terrorism. He highlighted the importance of strengthening military relationships and extended an invitation to General Munir to visit Malaysia.

General Munir expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the growing ties between Pakistan and Malaysia. This meeting reflects the two countries’ commitment to enhancing cooperation and collaboration in military and security matters.

Earlier, President Zardari awarded PM Anwar Ibrahim the Nishan-e-Pakistan for his support of Islamic causes and his friendship with Pakistan. Prime Minister Anwar, who admires Allama Iqbal, acknowledged the poet’s contributions, considering Iqbal’s work a source of inspiration.

The discussions between the Malaysian Prime Minister and the Pakistan Army Chief emphasize the strong bond between the two nations and their shared goals in ensuring regional stability. Both leaders are keen on fostering deeper connections, which will not only benefit their countries but also contribute to peace and security in the region.
