SARGODHA: A man along with his sons killed three women and injured three others of his brother’s family over a property dispute in the suburbs of the city.

The incident took place at Chak 103-NB on Sailanwali Road, where a man and his three sons attacked their relatives with a sharp weapon. The victims included two young nieces, Aleshbha Arif and Maryam Arif, as well as their mother, Qamar Batool, the wife of the suspect’s brother.

The assailants also seriously injured three other young nieces – Mafia Arif, Nimra Arif and Zainab Arif – before fleeing the scene.

Saddar police have shifted the bodies of the deceased mother and daughters, along with the injured sisters, to the hospital.

Taking notice of the incident, the Punjab chief minister has sought a detailed report and ordered the best medical care for the injured.

Upon receiving the information, DPO Muhammad Sohaib Ashraf visited the crime scene and later met with the injured, assuring them of justice.

According to sources, Nimra, Mafia, and Zainab have been referred to Sargodha Hospital in a critical condition.

ACCIDENT: A speeding dumper overturned on the main road of Sahiwal Chavewala town on the Sargodha-Jhang Road due to a fault in the steering rod, causing serious injuries to two traders travelling in the vehicle.

The accident temporarily blocked traffic, but rescue teams removed the dumper and restored the flow of vehicles.

According to sources, the dumper lost control after the steering rod malfunctioned, leading to the crash. The two injured, Muhammad Rehan from Khushab and Rab Nawaz from Bhakkar, were rescued and shifted to the hospital for medical treatment.
