Abu Dhabi Family, Civil and Administrative Cases Court ordered a man to pay Dhs30,000 to a woman in compensation for physical harms she sustained due to his assault.
In the details, a woman filed a lawsuit against a man requesting that he be obligated to pay her Dhs150,000 in compensation for material and moral damages she incurred, in addition to a 12% legal interest on the compensation amount from the date of filing the case until full payment.
The plaintiff pointed out that the appellee’s assault caused her significant physical injuries, and that she filed a criminal case against him where the court convicted him, fined him Dhs10,000, and obligated him to pay the fees and expenses of the lawsuit.
She added that the ruling was upheld by the Court of Appeals, making it final.
The court clarified that the plaintiff sustained the damages mentioned in the medical report and that the case file proved the appellee’s assault and the resulting material and moral damages.
Consequently, the court ordered the appellee to pay Dhs30,000 to the plaintiff in compensation for all material and moral damages she incurred.
