Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has awarded Rs 10 crore to Arshad Nadeem, the Olympic gold medalist, in recognition of his outstanding achievement.

In her announcement, Maryam Nawaz praised Nadeem, emphasizing how he brought immense pride to the nation by winning a gold medal on Independence Day. She expressed deep admiration for his hard work and dedication, acknowledging his 40-year journey in javelin throw that led to this historic victory.

Additionally, she shared exciting plans to build a sports city in Mian Chanu, which will be named after Arshad Nadeem as a tribute to his legacy.

Maryam Nawaz also stressed the importance of honoring every Pakistani who represents the country on the global stage, recognizing their contributions to the nation’s prestige. She hopes that Nadeem’s success will inspire future generations to strive for excellence in sports and beyond.
