Ministry Of Commerce Offers Job Opportunities in Pakistan

The Ministry of Commerce has announced the appointment of three members for the Trade Dispute Resolution Commission (TDRC) under the Trade Dispute Resolution Act (TDRA), 2022. These positions aim to streamline the resolution of trade disputes and ensure the effective implementation of the act.

Available Positions

The Ministry will appoint:

  1. Two members from the Private Sector
  2. One member from the Public Sector, which includes retired government officers or current in-service officers.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Requirements

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree (16 years of education) from an HEC-accredited institution in relevant fields such as:

  • International Trade
  • Economics
  • Accountancy
  • Tariffs and Trade
  • International Business Law
  • Commercial Law or similar disciplines

Experience Requirements

Candidates must have at least 20 years of professional experience in the relevant fields.

Age Limit

The minimum age is 45 years, and the maximum age is 62 years at the time of appointment.

Disqualification Criteria

An applicant will be disqualified if they:

  • Have been convicted of a crime involving moral turpitude.
  • Are declared insolvent.
  • Are unfit due to physical or mental health issues.
  • Fail to disclose conflicts of interest.
  • Are found guilty of misconduct.

Terms of Service

  • Members will serve for three years, extendable for another three years based on performance.
  • The maximum age to serve is 65 years.
  • In-service officers selected must resign or retire early before joining.
  • Members will receive compensation according to the MP-I pay scale.

How to Apply

Applicants must submit their applications online through the Ministry of Commerce’s job portal at within 15 days of the advertisement.

Important Notes

  • Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews.
  • No TA/DA will be provided for the interview process.
  • Incomplete applications or those submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

This initiative underscores the Ministry’s commitment to fostering efficient trade practices and resolving disputes effectively.
