Murree Faces Heavy Snowfall, Road Clearance Operations In Full Swing
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterWhatsapp

Murree is experiencing continuous snowfall, and the authorities are working hard to keep roads open and ensure public safety. Punjab’s Minister for Construction and Communication, Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bharth, has confirmed that the C&W Department teams are actively clearing snow from the roads using loaders and snow blowers.

To prevent roads from becoming slippery due to ice, salt is being spread on key routes. Special teams, including highway staff, machine operators, and salt-sprinkling teams, have been deployed at important locations such as Lower Topa, Cheeka Gali, Kultana, Sunny Bank, GPO Chowk, and Kashmir Point.

These efforts aim to maintain smooth traffic flow and ensure the safety of both residents and tourists. Authorities have urged travelers to take precautions, follow traffic rules, and stay updated on weather conditions before heading to Murree.

Visitors are also advised to keep emergency essentials, such as warm clothing and food, in case of roadblocks or delays.

The Punjab government remains committed to providing all necessary resources to tackle the situation. The C&W Department and other relevant teams will continue their efforts until normal road conditions are restored.

Tourists and locals are encouraged to stay alert and cooperate with authorities to ensure a safe and enjoyable winter experience in Murree.
