A huge fire erupted at Islamabad’s Sunday Bazaar near Srinagar Highway, causing extensive damage to more than 500 shops.
Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries reported. The fire began in the area where shoes and clothes are sold and quickly spread to neighboring shops.
Officials from Islamabad’s Capital Development Authority (CDA), along with the commissioner and other authorities, oversaw the firefighting efforts.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi directed local authorities to deploy all available resources to extinguish the fire promptly.
After a concerted effort, the blaze was brought under control, and efforts to cool down the area are currently ongoing.
