The Pakistan Army has successfully captured 21 Afghan border positions in a strong retaliatory operation, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The action came in response to recent cross-border firing and provocations by Afghan forces along the frontier areas. Officials confirmed that Pakistani troops launched a well-coordinated counteroffensive, regaining full control of key posts previously targeted by Afghan forces.

Sources said the captured positions were strategic points used to assist militant movements across the border. The ISPR stated that Pakistan’s response was purely defensive, aimed at protecting national sovereignty and ensuring border security.

The operation reportedly inflicted heavy losses on the opposing side, while Pakistani troops sustained minimal damage. The ISPR emphasized that Pakistan remains committed to regional peace and stability, but any aggression would be met with a firm and proportionate response.

Tensions between the two neighboring countries have escalated in recent days, with repeated incidents of border violations and security concerns. Authorities have urged Afghanistan to prevent militant activities operating from its soil and to cooperate for lasting peace.

The ISPR reaffirmed that Pakistan’s armed forces are fully prepared to defend the nation’s borders under all circumstances.
