The Pakistan Army has established a small freelancing hub in Shigar, a town in the Gilgit-Baltistan region, with the goal of creating job opportunities for local youth and students. This hub, located within a government school, is designed to help the local population develop digital skills and take advantage of remote work opportunities.

Mahboob Ali, the vice principal of the school, expressed his gratitude to the Pakistan Army and the Chief of Army Staff for their efforts in providing employment opportunities for the young people in the area. He believes the hub represents a positive step forward for the picturesque region of Gilgit-Baltistan.

This initiative is part of a broader plan to improve economic prospects in the region. Local residents, especially the youth, have voiced their appreciation for the Pakistan Army and the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) for bringing such opportunities to their community.

By focusing on digital skills and remote work, the hub is expected to open up new possibilities for the people of Gilgit-Baltistan, helping them secure better employment in today’s globalized, digital economy.
