Pakistan Becomes Top Boiled Beef Supplier to China

Pakistan has become the top exporter of boiled beef to China, showing strong growth in its meat trade this year. According to China’s General Administration of Customs, Pakistan’s exports of boiled beef increased by 139% in value in the first six months of 2025 compared to the same period last year.

Between January and June, Pakistan shipped around 1.03 million kilograms of boiled beef to China. The total value of these exports reached $5.24 million, up from $2.36 million in the first half of 2024. The average price per kilogram also went up to $5.47, showing that the meat is not only in demand but also trusted for its quality.

This big jump is mainly because Pakistan’s meat industry has been strictly following China’s food safety standards. Many buyers in China prefer Pakistani meat because it is halal and considered fresh and clean. Trade agreements between the two countries have also made it easier and more profitable to export meat.

As a result, Pakistan has left behind other exporters in the region, like Mongolia, and has become the main supplier of boiled beef to Chinese markets.

Industry experts believe that if Pakistan keeps up this good performance and maintains its quality, its meat exports could grow even more in the coming years. Farmers and exporters see this as a big chance to earn better incomes and create jobs at home, while meeting the rising food needs of China’s large population.
