The Government of Pakistan has announced that February 8, 2025, will be observed as a National Day of Mourning to honor the late spiritual leader of the Shia Imami Ismaili Muslims, Prince Shah Karim Al-Husseini, Aga Khan IV.
Prince Karim Aga Khan passed away at the age of 88. In a notification issued by the Cabinet Division, it was confirmed that the national flag will be lowered to half-mast across the country as a sign of respect.

Throughout his life, he worked for the betterment of people worldwide, making a significant impact on communities through various development projects.
