The Pakistan High Commission has issued over 2,100 visas to Indian Sikh pilgrims to attend the upcoming birth anniversary celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the revered founder of Sikhism.

The celebrations will take place in Pakistan from November 4 to 13, bringing together devotees from across the region to honor Guru Nanak’s message of peace, equality, and humanity.

Every year, thousands of Sikh yatrees (pilgrims) visit Pakistan to participate in these sacred events. Many of them travel through the Kartarpur Corridor, a historic and visa-free passage that connects Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Narowal, Pakistan, with Gurdwara Dera Baba Nanak in Gurdaspur, India.

The corridor stands as a powerful symbol of interfaith harmony and cross-border peace, allowing followers of Sikhism to visit one of their holiest sites with ease. The issuance of these visas reflects Pakistan’s ongoing commitment to facilitating religious tourism and promoting people-to-people connections between the two neighboring nations.

It also highlights the country’s efforts to preserve and maintain important Sikh heritage sites, including Nankana Sahib and Kartarpur.

Through this initiative, Pakistan continues to uphold its tradition of welcoming Sikh pilgrims with warmth and respect, ensuring they can freely celebrate the spiritual legacy of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji, a figure who remains a beacon of unity, compassion, and faith across borders.
