Iran’s Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has described Pakistan as an important and valuable country for the entire Muslim world. He shared these views during a meeting with a parliamentary delegation from Pakistan in Tehran, where both sides discussed ways to strengthen relations.

Ghalibaf said that Iran and Pakistan share deep cultural, historical and religious bonds that go back many years. He stressed that these similarities create a strong foundation for cooperation and mutual respect.

According to him, the friendship between the two nations is not just political; it is also rooted in the close connection between their people.

During the meeting, he also highlighted Pakistan’s important role in supporting peace and unity in the Muslim world. Ghalibaf said that Pakistan has always stood firm on issues related to Muslim countries and has worked to bring nations together.

He added that Pakistan’s position in the region gives it the ability to play a constructive and positive part in resolving conflicts and encouraging dialogue.

He further noted that at a time when many Muslim countries face political and security challenges, unity is more important than ever. Ghalibaf said that Iran and Pakistan must continue to work together to defend the interests of the Muslim Ummah and promote stability.

Strengthening parliamentary cooperation, increasing people-to-people exchanges, and improving economic ties were among the areas he mentioned for future collaboration.

The Pakistani delegation also expressed interest in boosting bilateral relations and appreciated Iran’s warm hospitality. Both sides agreed that stronger cooperation will benefit not only the two countries but also the wider Muslim community.
