Pakistan’s rowing team made history at the Asian Indoor Rowing Championship 2025 held in Pattaya, Thailand, by winning a total of 14 medals. The team brought home 10 gold, 3 silver, and 1 bronze medal, securing third place overall in the championship.
This was Pakistan’s best performance ever at the event, which featured strong competition from more than 20 countries across Asia.
The star of the championship was Asad Ali, who impressed everyone by winning five gold medals on his own. Maqbool Ali and Wali Khan also performed well, earning two gold medals each.
Abdul Jabbar and Muhammad Shahzad both won a gold and a silver medal. Another team member, Tayyab Iftikhar, added to the medal count with one silver and one bronze.
