Pakistan Railways has set a new record by earning Rs88 billion in revenue in 2024, thanks to major reforms and the outsourcing of various services. This marks a 40% increase in earnings compared to previous years.

Several key improvements have helped achieve this success. The railway system has introduced 10 new trains, making travel more convenient for passengers. Punctuality has also improved significantly, with trains now running on time 82% of the time. In addition, freight operations have been enhanced, allowing for more efficient transportation of goods across the country.

One of the biggest factors behind this revenue boost is the outsourcing of services, which has led to an impressive 84.7% increase in earnings. This has not only improved efficiency but has also made the travel experience more enjoyable for passengers.

Pakistan Railways is continuing its modernization efforts to provide better facilities for travelers. New services are being introduced, including air-conditioned washrooms for added comfort. Authorities are also focusing on improving customer engagement to ensure a smoother and more satisfying journey for passengers.

With these developments, Pakistan Railways aims to make train travel more reliable, comfortable, and efficient for people across the country.
