Pakistan has been ranked 12th among the world’s top 15 military powers in the 2025 Global Firepower (GFP) Index, which evaluated the military strength of 145 countries. India ranked higher at 4th place, showing its stronger defense capabilities.

The index highlights Pakistan’s strategic military strength, especially in air power, where the country secured 7th place globally for its air fleet. However, in naval power, Pakistan ranked 27th, while India was positioned 6th in this category.

Despite being ranked lower than India in some areas, Pakistan’s military strength remains significant. The ranking reflects its strong defense presence and strategic importance in global military affairs.

The GFP Index considers various factors, including the number of troops, air and naval fleets, weapon technology, and overall defense capabilities. Pakistan’s consistent presence among the world’s top military powers shows its growing defense strength and preparedness.

While India has secured a higher ranking, Pakistan’s 12th position still demonstrates its military capability on a global scale. The report also highlights areas where Pakistan can further strengthen its defense forces, particularly in naval power.

This ranking is important as it showcases Pakistan’s role in international defense and security. It also indicates the continuous efforts made by the country to enhance its military strength. Moving forward, Pakistan may focus on further modernizing its forces to improve its position in future rankings.

Translation: The Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) has strongly condemned the suspension of advertisements for media TV and media Radio, following the earlier suspension for media Media Group’s newspapers. CPNE stated that media is among Pakistan’s most reputable media outlets, and imposing a ban on government advertisements is tantamount to economically weakening it.In this regard, the CPNE President and Secretary General said in a joint statement that media Media Group has provided impartial reporting in Pakistan since its inception. Initially, its newspapers were subjected to a ban on advertisements, and now the government has also deprived media Media Group’s electronic platforms of government advertisements. They demanded that the government immediately lift the ban on media Media Group’s advertisements.
