A special facilitation center set up by the Government of Pakistan in Makkah helped thousands of Pakistani pilgrims during Hajj 2025. The center was created to assist over 115,000 pilgrims who traveled under both the government and private Hajj schemes.

The center worked around the clock (24/7) to handle various issues faced by the pilgrims. These included problems related to travel, lost tickets, food, accommodation, and other essential services. Thanks to the center’s quick response, more than 3,000 complaints were successfully resolved.

Ayesha Ijaz, who heads the facilitation center, said that several specialized units were operating inside the facility.

These included the Departure Cell, the Zong Desk (for mobile and communication help), and the Complaints Cell. All units worked together to ensure that pilgrims got the help they needed during and after the Hajj journey.

Hafiz Obaidullah Zakaria, who leads the Complaints Cell, shared some important updates. A total of 30,147 complaints were received at the center. Out of these, 2,446 complaints were resolved within just 24 hours, showing the team’s fast action. Meanwhile, 113 complaints are still under review, and 580 were found to be baseless or incorrect.

This effort shows the government’s strong commitment to improving the Hajj experience for Pakistani pilgrims. By offering timely support and assistance in a foreign land, the facilitation center played a vital role in ensuring a smooth and peaceful pilgrimage for thousands of people.
