The foreign ministers of Pakistan and seven other key Muslim-majority nations have issued a joint statement condemning Israel’s repeated violations of the Gaza ceasefire.

The diplomatic coalition warned that these actions — which have resulted in over a thousand Palestinian casualties — threaten to derail the second phase of the current international peace process.

In a press release issued by the Foreign Office on Sunday, the ministers from Pakistan, Egypt, Jordan, the UAE, Indonesia, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar stated that the persistent violence undermines collective efforts to restore stability. They emphasised that these violations constitute a direct threat to the transition toward a more stable security and humanitarian phase in the Gaza Strip.

The group reaffirmed its commitment to the success of the second phase of US President Donald Trump’s peace plan and the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2803.

“These actions risk escalating tensions and undermining efforts aimed at consolidating calm… at a time when regional and international parties are working collectively to advance the peace plan,” the statement read.

The Muslim states urged all parties to exercise “utmost restraint” to preserve the fragile truce and foster conditions suitable for early recovery and reconstruction.

The ministers concluded by reiterating the necessity of a lasting peace grounded in the Palestinian right to self-determination and statehood; adherence to international law and relevant UN resolutions and the framework of the Arab Peace Initiative.
