The federal government has announced the launch of a modern High-Performance Sports Academy named after Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem. This new academy will be built at the Pakistan Sports Complex in Islamabad and will focus on advanced training for athletes in various sports, especially athletics.
The total cost for building the academy is estimated at Rs. 2,852.6 million. Out of this, Rs. 300 million has been set aside in the upcoming fiscal year’s budget to begin construction and initial development.
The main goal of the academy is to train and support young and talented athletes from across the country, helping them compete at international levels.
This important step is also a tribute to Arshad Nadeem for making Pakistan proud with his outstanding achievements. He has earned gold medals at the Olympics and the Asian Athletics Championships, becoming a symbol of excellence in sports for the nation.
