Pakistan To Witness Total Lunar Eclipse With Rare Blood Moon Tonight At 11:57 Pm

Pakistan is set to witness a rare total lunar eclipse on Sunday night, September 7, when the moon will turn a deep red, often called a “blood moon.” This exciting cosmic event will be visible across the country.

According to the Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO), the eclipse will start at 8:30 pm, reach its peak at 11:57 pm, and come to an end at 1:55 am. If skies remain clear, people will be able to see the moon glowing in a striking red shade for several hours.

A total lunar eclipse happens when the Earth moves between the Sun and the Moon, blocking direct sunlight from reaching the lunar surface. Instead, the Earth’s atmosphere bends some light and casts it on the Moon. This refracted light gives the Moon its dramatic red color, making the sight both rare and beautiful.

Astronomy experts say such events are not only fascinating to watch but also a great chance for people to learn more about space. Students, astronomy lovers, and anyone interested in the wonders of the universe are encouraged to observe this unique phenomenon. Unlike solar eclipses, lunar eclipses are safe to watch with the naked eye, without any special equipment.

Events like this remind us of the vast mysteries of space and inspire curiosity about the universe. For many, this will be a memorable opportunity to connect with the night sky and experience one of nature’s most spectacular shows.
