In a tragic incident in the Pakistani mega city of Karachi, a 10-year-old boy took his own life using his father’s licenced pistol after his request was denied, Express News reported.
The boy succumbed to a gunshot wound at his home in the city’s Ghaghar Phatak area. His body was transported to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre by ambulance for legal formalities.
Local police official Hussain Pirzada claimed that the young boy committed suicide using his father’s licenced pistol.
He said that the boy had made a request to his father which was not fulfilled, leading him to take the pistol from his father’s bag and end his life.
The police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
MOTHER SHOOTS TEENAGE SON DEAD

In a separate development, the gunshot bodies of a woman and her teenage son were found in their house in Karachi’s Orangi Town, The News reported on Wednesday.
Upon receiving the information, the police and rescuers arrived at the house in Altaf Nagar and transported the bodies to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. The deceased were later identified as 30-year-old Tania, wife of Qurban Ali, and her 13-year-old son, Muhammad Khan.
Sharing the findings of the initial investigations, the police suspected that Tania first shot and killed her son and then ended her own life. The motive behind the incident was yet to be ascertained.
The police recorded the statement of the deceased woman’s husband, who stated that his wife committed suicide after shooting their son for unexplained reasons.
The police reported that the weapon used in the incident had been recovered and sent to the forensic division. No case has been registered yet.
