Pakistani Pine Nuts Exports to China Surge 128% in 2024

In 2024, Pakistani pine nut exports to China hit a remarkable $18.78 million—an impressive leap from $8.22 million in 2023. According to official data from China’s General Administration of Customs (GACC), China imported 981.64 tons of these delicious nuts, making it one of the largest markets for Pakistan’s pine nuts.

Why the surge? According to Yar Muhammad Niaz, Chief Executive of a leading food company in Hangzhou, it’s all about the exceptional taste and premium quality of Pakistani pine nuts. And E-commerce platforms helped skyrocket their popularity across China, where pine nuts are not just a snack—they’re a symbol of health, prosperity, and longevity in Chinese culture, making them the perfect gift for Chinese New Year and other traditional festivals.
