Renowned Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has refuted reports circulating on Pakistani news channels claiming his arrest in Dubai over a defamation case.
The renowned singer, known for his powerful vocals and numerous hit songs, took to Instagram to address the rumours.
In a video message from Dubai, Khan reassured his fans, stating, “I am in Dubai to record my songs. Everything is fine. I request everyone not to pay heed to unfounded rumours. I’ll be back soon with you all in my beloved country. You will be entertained with super hit songs.”
Emphasising his connection with his global fanbase, Khan urged, “I request all my fans across the globe not to waste time and pay heed to fake news and rumours. The audience and fans are my power. I love all of them.”
Earlier, various Pakistani and Indian media outlets had reported on Khan’s alleged arrest upon his arrival in Dubai.
Some media outlets claimed that the singer was briefly detained but later released on bail.
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, a prominent figure in Pakistani and international music, has garnered acclaim for his soulful renditions and contributions to Bollywood soundtracks.
Known for his versatility and melodious voice, Khan has collaborated with top artists and composers, creating timeless hits that resonate with audiences worldwide.
